Think I disagree. Ando eased through but thought Clayton put up a good fight. Faded a bit at the end but defo not an easy win for mvg.DavidB wrote:The big two ease through, no surprise - not another single player who can touch either let alone play the game these two do and win majors.
Clayton has done very well in this comp. He must be chuffed.

Highlight was his dig at Price. Articulating that Clayton was the best Welsh player.
Disappointing.
Is that better.

I would really want Price to win that...Anderson going down in my estimation all the time ..i'm starting to quite dislike him actually. .and I'm actually warming to Price..ssjsa wrote:Would be great to see Gary vs Gezzy in the final.phil davies wrote:Would be fantastic to see Clayton win this. Shame Gando isn’t playing Price in the semi after that comment could have made for some intresting viewing.
Ando would need very little motivation to play his best darts and smash Price.

I have always liked Price. Think his attitude is great, and whilst his celebrations are a tad over the top at times, he is box office.trotter wrote:I would really want Price to win that...Anderson going down in my estimation all the time ..i'm starting to quite dislike him actually. .and I'm actually warming to Price..ssjsa wrote:Would be great to see Gary vs Gezzy in the final.phil davies wrote:Would be fantastic to see Clayton win this. Other than when he played Cadby in Glasgow at the WSOD finals, which I have to say was amazing to watch as I was sitting right in front of the stage, I think Gezzy's actions are more to motivate himself than put his opponent off.
Hope if he plays Gary in the final, he gives it loads, as Ando clearly doesn't like him and the more Gerwyn annoys Ando, the angrier he will be, and the better he will play. That being said there is the matter of Mensur and MVG for them both to deal with first.

In for a treat with the darts today, both interesting and 'pick-em' Semi's. Quality and matchups both perfect too tbh, Price and Mesur equally loud and flamboyant, Anderson and MVG the best 2 by some distance.

MVG will never reach anywhere near Taylor's WC hawl but to be 30/85 on the above stat is quite an achievement.
More events now of course but you would imagine unless something career changing happens he will surpass that number in 10 years.

Now we don't even know which is and isn't a major.
U.K. Open
Matchplay
Grand Prix
Players Championships
In my mind. Maybe the Grand Slam aswell.

The problem is they aren't used to the ungentlemanly tactics used by those on the exhibition circuit......billyd wrote:It's a shame that the BDO players can't seem to accept losing when outplayed and always look for an excuse, makes them look like amateurs.......Paddy McGinty wrote:It's really sad that the PDC monkeys can't act as professionally as the BDO boys..........brings the game into disrepute. Very random list then to compare, Taylor would probably be on 1000 had he started 10 years ago and finished 20 years from now!ChrisW wrote:In the first years of the PDC there was only 2.MrLil8 wrote:How man ranking events have been 'added'?

Do the PDC have an “official” majors list ?
I know the Premier League is on it, much to the ire of many on here, but presume they don’t steep as low as to include the made for TV events like
The Masters
Champions League
World Series of Darts
Have no problem if Grand Slam included as you actually have to win something on the PDC side to qualify even it’s a stupid floor qualifier for the lower reaches of the tour card holders but then they’ve never won it.

We’re told every event on tv is a tv major...
Not just that, even Ian White won a tv event this year, apparently...

Gerwyn has a real chance, nothing seems to faze him
Re: PDC Grand Slam of Darts- 10th-18th November 2018- Wolverhampton
They have a list of Premier Ranked events and Premier Invitational events. That includes every TV event apart from the regional World Series tournaments. You could say the Premier Ranked events equal majors. So Worlds, Matchplay, WGP, GSOD, UK Open, Euros, PC Finals. Though I would say the PL is absolutely a major)malcy93 wrote:Do the PDC have an “official” majors list ?

The Grand Slam is definitely a major without a doubt. I would say the 5 Sky events are the 5 most important ones - first tier majors, and the 3 ITV ones are second tier majors. Though you could argue that the UK Open is first tier because of it's history and also the expansion next year.

Geez, van Gerwen's body language looks like he's done.

Price 4-1 for the final.
