2019 Q-School Prediction Game
We’ve had ally pally. We’ve had lakeside. Now we’ve got the Q-School prediction game.
I have decided to run the game for the 3rd year running. Will try to run it the same as in previous years, and to that effect I have found the rules to last year's game and will keep them in place.
Mrsj180 is our reigning and defending champion from last year.
There is a prize, put up by myself - a £10 voucher for Darts Corner.
What to do: Select 18 players who you think will be winning a tour card at UK Q School. Based on the split I reckon that’s how many will be awarded to the UK event. The official list of entered players will be available at pdc.tv, probably from Wednesday morning, but an unofficial entry list can be found here: https://tv.dartconnect.com/eventconfirmation/pdcukqs19
The scoring:
6 points - player who wins a tour card on the first day
5 points - player who wins a tour card on the second day
4 points - player who wins a tour card on the third day
3 points - player who wins a tour card on the fourth day
2 points - player who is awarded a tour card through the final Q School Order of Merit
1 point - player who lost in the Last 8 ("daily tour card final") on any day and ends up leaving Q School without a card
The winner will of course be the entrant who scores the most total points with their 18-player squad. In the event of a tie, the entrant who scored the most 6-pointers will prevail. Should this also be tied, we move on to comparing the 5-pointers and so on. Should two or more entrants be completely tied through to the 1-pointers, all their remaining selected players will be looked at and their Q School Order of Merit points summed, with the higher total prevailing.
Entries with more than 18 names on them will simply be truncated after the 18th name. Please give all player names as full names - any selection listed only with a surname (no matter how recognizable) will not be included in your squad.
The results should be up Sunday night/Monday morning. I will wait until the PDC have confirmed the final order of merit to collaborate the final results.
Entries close on Thursday 17th January 2019 at 11.30am. NO EXCEPTIONS!
I will be entering the competition myself, but in the interest of transparency will be posting my entries on this thread.
Good Luck!

No offense but I thought we was doing a tournament for money like the worlds tournament. Its being talked about in the Qschool thread.
Re: 2019 Q-School Prediction Game
Excellent, been looking forward to this one this year. Should be creating a lot of interest with the new BDO rule change.
By the way have you checked your eligibility to enter your own comp with Mr Owen, Ginge McL and Swewball

Re: 2019 Q-School Prediction Game
Thank you footballafc. Great competition and I will be entering Thursday morning.
The key to winning will not be picking the likes of Durrant, Caven et al, but rather the lesser known players who qualify, and very few will pick.

Everyone will pick Durrant, so it will not make no difference to the overall winning of the Competition whether he qualifies or not.phil davies wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 5:14 pmCaven
He won’t be winning a card anyway he has been shite for ages.
Plus if Durrant as expected gets a card the first couple of days then it’s worth picking him. But I get what your saying.
Jamie was a little bit of a red herring, but I will be picking him as one of my 18. Well maybe I will, or maybe I'll not.

Re: 2019 Q-School Prediction Game
I assume the OP thought the last matches would be in the quarter finals each day, not the semi finals. I am sure he can correct it.
