I wonder if all those going to Q School have also entered this in case they don't get a card.

Strange how the NDB have spoken to PDC officials about promoting this event?? I remember talk of a potential for the NDB to move accross from the WDF to the PDC in some way. if so i wonder if this event could become a european open major under the PDC in the future. Similar to the UK open admittedly but we should see a lot of different faces enter.

Good turnout there even in the woman’s event
Re: Bauhaus Dutch Open 1-3 Feb, 2019 - Assen, NL
People not happy that all prize fund will now be done by bank transfer and not cash...say especially the lower amounts will turn to nothing once exchange rates and bank fees apply....
Re: Bauhaus Dutch Open 1-3 Feb, 2019 - Assen, NL
So if a British winner wins the €5k top prize, what is he going to do with €5k in Euros? Some people are never happy.trotter01 wrote:People not happy that all prize fund will now be done by bank transfer and not cash...say especially the lower amounts will turn to nothing once exchange rates and bank fees apply....
Also in my experience when you send money to someone in a different currency you can send it so the fees are paid by the sender and not the receiver.

i am so sorry for my actions these last ten years, i'm going through a tough time
Re: Bauhaus Dutch Open 1-3 Feb, 2019 - Assen, NL
Prize money greater than €250 was already being paid by bank transfer only.Ginge wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 6:58 pmSo if a British winner wins the €5k top prize, what is he going to do with €5k in Euros? Should be no charge to countries for Euros transfers. This obviously excludes UK.
But they have always had a backwards banking system.

I see. So it will depends if the sender or receiver is paying the fees them for the smaller amounts.Zeyes wrote:Prize money greater than €250 was already being paid by bank transfer only.Ginge wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 6:58 pmSo if a British winner wins the €5k top prize, what is he going to do with €5k in Euros? Standard practice would be that the sender pays the fees. A simple check box using Dutch banking systems online.Ginge wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 8:55 pmI see. Probably only moaning as they don't get handed 50 or 100 euros in beer money there and then.

Er, it's because the UK is sterling , nothing to do with being backwards, all transfers between currencies have charges when doing inter bank transfers.ChrisW wrote:Should be no charge to countries for Euros transfers. This obviously excludes UK.

I'm talking about using cheques instead of online banking.Skewball wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 8:24 amEr, it's because the UK is sterling , nothing to do with being backwards, all transfers between currencies have charges when doing inter bank transfers.ChrisW wrote:Should be no charge to countries for Euros transfers.
