£120k, £85k last year, £35 this year. Apart from that he has a measly £2,500 from the Players Championship Finals and £1,750 from the UK Open, both where he lost his first game

Thanks and as suspected his non world champ efforts are shocking...

Still would prefer this as a ranking system as playing on the floor has very little impact on how good you are going to be on TV and this gives a better indidcation of who the seeds should be based on the tournaments that actually matter. Rather than people like White and King who over the last 2 years have done jack shit on tv but are still so high up the ranking because of their TV performances.Mensur Suljovic Fan wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 5:32 am£120k, £85k last year, £35 this year. It's not a pointless argument though is it given you were talking about a tv ranking system...
Re: PDC Order of Merit
If the large World Championship prize money skews the rankings too much, they could do an OOM that's 2 years, but includes only 1 World Championship. So, a good performance at the World Championship would give a player 1 year ranking boost, but then they'd have to show consistency to maintain that ranking.DavidB wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 1:05 pmMensur Suljovic Fan wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 5:32 am£120k, £85k last year, £35 this year. Re: PDC Order of Merit
All these ideas about the ranking... They're just gonna up the prize money on the tour, and that's it. Simple. No need for anything else.

Cross and Gurney are those who have the lot to defend this year.

Fair play to Asp though done brilliantly in the last 6 months. 8 players now in the Slam through the PDC majors. Probably once end up with people who have won PDC events missing out because of the idiotic qualyfying system.
How would you change the system

When your top 8-10 your always “defending loads” it’s the reason why your top 8-10 every year Is pressure to stay there . DG defending 310 already 50 in the bag if he hits 200 a year it keeps us up there and he’s done nothing at the worlds for two years so a chance to make some wedge there come 2020phil davies wrote:JC will be top 10 come the end of the worlds. Out of the current top 8 Gurney and Wright both defending loads this year so likely to drop plus Cross obviously defending his Worlds win but I expect him to make a lot of that up before the worlds.

Re: PDC Order of Merit
Looking at the data in the tweet from Erik Middelkoop in the 2020 World Championship thread which removes all monies which will be deducted prior to the start of Ally Pally, Daryl is currently the provisional 6th seed. Every chance he will be in the Top 4 prior to start of WC.MDA wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:19 pmWhen your top 8-10 your always “defending loads” it’s the reason why your top 8-10 every year Is pressure to stay there .
