Smith, Wright, Durrant, White and Aspinall all have very tricky draws.

White is safe. Cullen is playing like a drain at the moment.

And De Sousa never turns up on tv. Cannot see the current Wright go out early doors.

Durrant plays De Zwaan, who has been rubbish all year.

Any news on Pipe? Is his arm injury serious enough for him to withdraw?

Dave Clark has announced that he is stepping down from his role as the presenter of Sky Sports' darts coverage.

So I wonder who going to replace him for WMP

Peter Wright made an excellent point, usually the top seeded players would have been jetting around the world for the weeks leading up to the Matchplay but not this year. That should make them fresher.

Combined with the behind closed doors atmosphere (although we’re yet to know how much the PDC/Sky will make it as much of a normal tv event with the stage setup, etc) it should be make for an excellent tournament!

Doubt it, not employed by Sky. Perhaps Laura Woods, David Croft?

Really?

I am not knocking the PDC. Some darts is better than no darts, probably, and covid obviously isn't anyones fault. But it will be the worst Matchplay in the history of the event. Doesn't really matter how good any of the matches are, it just will be.

Again, no ones fault.

Im sure we’ll get mostly excellent matches, close contests and high standard - that was the angle I was coming from!
