Thanks for your attention.
Re: No Magic Weekend this coming UKDA season
Has this news been confirmed or is it only on their FB group which is closed and nobody outside the group can view it?
Couldnt see anything on their website or Twitter when I looked yesterday.
Cant say I am surprised tbh, it was the wrong way to go about an end of season event in a neutral venue, especially when you are playing regular fixtures there and depriving the usual venues of their games. Think had they scheduled Lancs vs Yorks for that weekend people would have had heart attacks.

Went out as an email to the counties the other day.

Aye seen it now.
If they really want to do a big end of season thing then it needs to be separate to the league. Maybe regionalise the divisions and have a Northern and Southern Premier, top 2 in each league go and playoff at a neutral venue afterwards.
Nothing else will likely work.

Nope, if they want to do an end of season jamboree it has to be something that doesnt take away the usual fixtures from the usual venues, I recall both Lancs and Yorks moaning like fuck at the initial announcement of the Magic Weekend that they may lose their annual Roses fixture to this neutral weekend, as an example. They didnt in the end, mind.
The fact its been dumped after one year is telling tbh.
Oh, apologies for the darts discussion btw.

The NFL will never take games abroad as franchises won’t want to lose a home fixture.

Are you comparing the NFL with county darts?
Stop it.

To try something, but then find it doesn't work, and so you drop it after one year is actually a good thing. Wisdom prevails.

Interesting.
They must have something else planned.
Sure I heard they only had magic weekend due to covid and the tight timescale to get things completed in.
