Fantastic match.

Thought Snakebite played amazingly well, but had 3 opportunities where he messed up on the doubles.

That being said, Daryl was also amazing, especially on his doubles, as evidenced by his 52% checkout ratio.

Well played both players. :DDDD: :DDDD:

All 4 semi finalists now in with a very realistic chance of winning. Would not be surprised if all 4 are joint favourites to win.

Gutted for Snakebite, 6 legs he had darts to break, but ultimately played a terrific game and beaten by the better man on the night. Gurney very fortunate to have gotten through these rounds, albeit tonight played to a top standard.

Have to say, I wouldn't mind any of the four semi finalists winning this.

Having seen Ando, then Snakebite exiting the tournament, probably if pressed, would favour Michael Smith, but all 4 would be worthy Champions given how well they have all played.

Overall, for me this has been the best Matchplay ever. This is a tournament I look forward to every year, but sometimes can be a bit of an anti climax at times as the higher ranked seeds rip through the field. Not this year.

Same here, only 2 whoopings I recall Cullen and Wade. Loads of matches close with few legs remaining. Not to bothered who wins but prefer Smith the Gurney.
Thinking of one.

Cross is going to need to seriously up his game, as Daryl is a pretty good front runner.

This match has not yet caught fire, but still early in a best of 33 game.

Pretty poor stuff from both players here considering how well they've played most of the past week. Cross can't buy a double, he should really be in front!

Gurney's run so far:
Evans averaging 89
Brown averaging 92 & 29% on doubles
Wright 104 average but missed too many doubles
Cross averaging 93 without a 180 after 15 legs

Apart from the Wright game, not having to play particularly well and is cruising through to another major final, might as well give him the bloody trophy now.

Shades of Wright vs Suljovic from last year in this match for Rob Cross.

Cross not at the races, and in all honesty, at 13-6 down, the most likely result is a 17-6 or 17-7 win for Daryl.

Scoring much better than Wade for me, and looks so likely on D16 every time he can leave it. But certainly has the Wadeian luck on his side!

Cross never looked like hitting that D18 following nearly busting on the T20, but Gurney misses 3 clear darts at tops and Cross breaks to get back to 15-11 down.

Rob can but dream.

FFS. This is unbelievable.

Daryl Gurney is throwing this match down the toilet. Credit to Cross, but Gurney has fell apart.

Or Whitlock vs Hamilton.

Pretty hard to believe what we have just watched. No one could have seen that coming and have to say feel gutted for Daryl.
