Re: BDO not paying its bills?
Be fair lads... after a couple of days of half empty sessions and a story breaking re a large amount of money oustanding I am sure this 'death threat' is entirely genuine and not at all linked with the above.

What a sorry state of affairs.
Re: BDO not paying its bills?
I would be surprised if they bother. Been on a freebie for a year or two. Probably take what they got and cut their losses.
They won't get anything via the courts. There is bugger all left.

They was ready to take them to court last year for multiple breaches of contract they are sure as hell going to take them to court for unpaid debts.ChrisW wrote:I would be surprised if they bother. Been on a freebie for a year or two. Probably take what they got and cut their losses.

And if they do it soon they can force the courts to pay their debts over the prize fund

Two unsecured debts are likely just to get pennys in the pound, no?Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:24 pm

There is money in the bank, unless des has completely lost what was left and there is the prize fundTheVillan wrote:Two unsecured debts are likely just to get pennys in the pound, no?Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:24 pm

Or des can just not contest any winding up notice and just let the bdo burn saying he tried and it was too far gone
Re: BDO not paying its bills?
What a total and complete fuxking mess.
Re: BDO not paying its bills?
People have suffered all manner of personal abuse on here and social media.DavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 8:42 pmOh dear, Rout.Wazza180 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 8:37 pmYes, it's completely unbelievable that online trolls would take things too far. I mean it is not like the trolls on here have not made fun of the players' partners, kids, etc.DavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 7:38 pm"Death threats" is something scammers claim when they've been rumbled or exposed on social media.
It's almost always a lie that it's happened. And even on the rare occasion that some keyboard warrior sends an actual threat of violence/death it's just that, a meaningless act of a keyboard warrior.
Total bull and deflection from whomever made the claim.
Have they posted screenshots of the threats?
Have they named those responsible?
Have they contacted the police?
I bet the answer to all those questions is no because the "threats" are completely made up.
Apart from DBG have you ever seen a "Death threat" on here.
More importantly, have you ever seen a real one.
Name calling is not a death threat.
Now stop crying and sod off.
All because some people don't agree with their opinions on darts. Or because they don't have Rod Harrington commentating on their darts matches.
Re: BDO not paying its bills?
There is a big difference between threatening and doing it.Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:24 pmThey was ready to take them to court last year for multiple breaches of contract they are sure as hell going to take them to court for unpaid debts.ChrisW wrote:I would be surprised if they bother. Only the lawyers make money out of these kind of cases.
Usually everyone else is losing out.

I recieved a death threat on here a few years back, think it was some Scottish nutter, kept saying he was 30 mins away, I told him I was waiting
Thinking of one.
Re: BDO not paying its bills?
As for the thread, with the PDC the motive is all about money. They have achieved all they can in the UK and saturation point was reached a long time ago. That is why they are going to new markets.
The BDO is different. It's a non-profit organisation. The problem is that they have made some poor business decisions and are now in trouble. We all know this. We don't need 4 threads about it.

This is the behaviour that the PDC vs BDO feud has instigated.
